Access to the beach at Abbotsbury is by a minor road that leaves the B3157 just west of the village boundary. The road is signposted to Abbotsbury sub-tropical gardens. Please park in the car park provided and not in the road that runs along the beach. |

There is an extensive area of reeds to the west of Abbotsbury Swannery which is used by many nesting birds each spring. This area was also used for sequences in one of the Harry Potter films. SY565843 |

These are a set of concrete blocks known as the Dragon's Teeth. They are an anti-tank defence system from the Second World War. Originally they stretched from the Fleet shoreline to the seawards shoreline, but nearly all of the blocks on the seaward side of the beach have been removed by wave action. SY568839 |
